Myrtle Beach Restaurant Reviews

Nothing is more satisfying than a great review from a customer! Please read the Myrtle Beach restaurant reviews of the Chesapeake House below to help decide for yourself if we can make it onto your list of places to visit along the Grand Strand.

"I have been coming to the Myrtle Beach area for over a decade and this is the first time I have stopped in to eat here. My family loved the bread basket so much we ordered cinnamon buns to go. We all ate the flounder and the servings are generous. The fish stew is something I never thought I would like, but I LOVE it. I have ate at several seafood restaurants when I used to live on the coast, but this is the best I have ever had."

"When you first walk you're greeted with the aroma of fresh baked bread. The rooms are reminiscent of Sunday dinner at your grandmothers house. That warm feeling of friends and family gathering for a wonderful home cooked meal. Upon being seated I heard something I've yet to hear at any dining establishment, "thank you for joining us today!" A delicious basket of cinnamon rolls, French bread and the most amazing, yes amazing hush puppies were brought out as an appetizer along with a honey butter spread. Along with our salad there was a tomato bisque with flounder that was to die for. The bisque was not overly acidic but with a mildly sweet finish. The fresh caught mahi mahi had a delicious Cajun rub that had just enough to compliment the freshness of the fish and cooked perfectly. I can see why this family owned restaurant is still going strong after 44 years!"

"The hushpuppies are like no other.  A must visit whenever in Myrtle Beach."

"Awesome food!  If you are over 60 and want flounder, shrimp, and devil crab try their senior meal.  I could not believe the portion size we received!  We got the broiled and it was some of the best I have eaten.  The bread basket was great, we took our cinnamon roll home for breakfast.  I also enjoyed the cup of fish stew.  Good service also."

Ann from McLeansville, NC

"Our new favorite regular stop. We used call ahead to get us seated and only waited 20 min when the wait was 45-60 min. They start you off with a giant bowl of fresh bread cinnamon rolls and hushpuppies.  Our food came quickly. Wife thought the shrimp was fantastic. I got the sirloin an it beat the pants off a steak I got at another local "steak" place. The service was quick and courteous."
